Wordy Wednesday #4- July 2015

Welcome  to Wordy Wednesday at Blog-A-Rhythm.

Sorry we missed the last few scheduled posts. Time to pull up our socks and get back to the programming 🙂

First, our blogging tip for the week:

Do you proofread your posts?

Most of us write the post, dash it off and hit ‘publish’ before we have had a chance to catch our breath. The result?

Typos galore.

It takes exactly five minutes more to check for errors with a handy grammar tool. Why should you do it? Well, it shows readers that you care about your content. It reflects the idea that even if you are just blogging for fun, you pay attention to the details. That, to be honest, always draws people in.

  1. I agree about the importance of proofreading posts. I’m always a bit stunned by the bloggers who call themselves writers and yet produce blog posts with obvious errors. I hope I’m not among those–I do regularly proofread my posts before hitting publish.

  2. I agree proofreading is important. Despite that, some errors find their way in my posts. That might be because I keep writing and rewriting right upto the moment I hit publish. Thank goodness I can edit after publishing too.

  3. Proof reading is a must. In spite of that there are errors in my posts too. I definitely read it after its published to find a glaring error and then edit it again. Trying to improve all the time is what blogging teaches us.
Thank you for using my picture as the prompt.
Will have to think of a story about it now…..maybe the true origin of the lock….

  4. Typos are a huge put off.. Proof reading is a must! But I have noticed, many times I see the additional ‘the’ or whatever immediately after I hit Publish.

  5. .. The flow of thoughts is seamless so in order to capture those thoughts I type fast and furiously then I miss certain words , articles and etc. things because of this Proof reading is must before the post goes viral and by this we can only improve our skills .
