Wordy Wednesday #2- May 2015 #PicturePrompt

Welcome  to Wordy Wednesday at Blog-A-Rhythm.

Before I begin, let me apologise for the unplanned two-week break from the prompts here at the BAR. Travel and limited connectivity prevented the prompts going up on time. We plan to ensure that doesn’t happen again. If it does, though, do bear with us 🙂

Welcome back everyone to the weekly sharing linkup. Today, we are  featuring one of the lovely faces behind B-A-R. Please raise your glasses in a toast to:

Shailaja V  who blogs at The Moving Quill and Diary of a Doting Mom *Also known as the GodMother. And she owns pointy boots that she does not hesitate to use on those of us that step out of line.*

In her own words, Shailaja has this to say:

Shailaja V here: Writer, singer, parent and blogger. Not necessarily in that order. I churn out fiction and writing tips on one blog while trudging through the travails of motherhood on the other. Networking enthusiast, Grammar Geek and Eternal Learner. You’d like me if you met me 😉 Blogging began as a generic pastime back in 2007, about a year after my daughter was born. It found its footprints in a tiny space on the Blogging landscape and is now called: Diary of a Doting Mom It catalogues my experiments and experiences in parenting, some funny, some serious and most of them introspective in nature. Give it a gander if that suits you. The Moving Quill, was born in May 2014 because I believed that a writer lay trapped inside me. A fiction writer, that is. It could be due to the mistakenly heaped praise on some posts on my other blog that propelled me to start a blog devoted to writing stories. Be that as it may, it has been a very fulfilling journey, but it is far from over. With each new venture into writing, I keep learning and tweaking and grooming my technique. Hopefully, that resonates with people 🙂

Here is her latest post which celebrates her blog turning one today:

A Year old today

Shailaja is an amazing person to be around, because she is perpetually in a ‘Zen-like’ mode and after a while that can rub off on you too. She’s a talented writer, and much like a ‘witch of short-fiction’, she constantly brews amazing stories in that secret cauldron of hers and takes us on a magical journey of sorts. So, do pop over and say ‘Hi’ when you can. She would love to hear what you have to say. In the meanwhile, add your links to the blue frog below and stroll around to visit the other blogs. Linkup stays open till next Saturday, May 30th.

Note: You only need to have a blog to add your links to this linkup 🙂

You do not need to be a B-A-R member 🙂

Please tweet your links to @Blogarhythm1 so we can reshare your posts.

Each person can add any number of links. No ‘BAR’ on that 😉

Have a good week, people.

Welcome back everyone to the weekly sharing linkup. Today, we are  featuring one of the ‘quirky and cat-loving faces behind B-A-R. Please raise your glasses in a toast to:

Cathy Graham who blogs at Cattitude and Gratitude:

Cat Graham

Cat Graham

In her own words, Cat has this to say:

I love being creative through writing, photography, art, and music.

I especially enjoy writing poetry, short stories, novels and blogging at www.cattitudeandgratitude.blogspot.com

I live in a small village outside Canada’s capitol city, Ottawa with my husband and two young adult sons, Rory and Eric, 21 and 19. We have an Alaskan Malamute named Loup, an orange tabby named Kobie and a calico cat named Daisy. Anyone who knows me on Facebook has seen endless pet photos whether they wanted to or not!

I sing Alto 2 in a women’s choir, play flute in a concert band and in a duo, Tartan and Tea with my harpist friend. I enjoy being part of the Blog-A-Rhythm blogging group. Writing can be lonely so it is wonderful to have the friendship and support of fellow writers. I also enjoy challenges like the A-Z challenge in April to keep me writing regularly.

Here is Cat’s recent guest post for B-A-R which she wrote for the A to Z Challenge:

J is for Journal

Cat Graham is a wonderful writer, poet and casual photographer who regales people with the love stories between the cardinals that visit her garden. Her quirky poetry will always put a smile on your face. Cat is also one of the most open people I have met online and she never shies away from learning something new: a trait that a lot of people seem to lose as they grow older. Cat, you are an inspiration to so many, many of us. I love you for who you are ❤

So, do pop over and say ‘Hi’ when you can. She would love to hear what you have to say.
