Wordy Wednesday #3 and Blogging Tip- July 2015

Welcome  to Wordy Wednesday at Blog-A-Rhythm.

First, our blogging tip for the week:

A clear ‘About Me’ page

Most of us don’t even realise that this is missing from our blogs. Whether you blog under your real name or a pseudonym, it’s important to have a clearly visible ‘About Me’ page.

Why have one? Well, it’s pretty simple. Good content draws people in. Consistent good content will make people curious about you or your writing. The people who come over to read that page may be other bloggers, potential customers and maybe a prospective employer. That’s right. if you are looking for a career in writing, for example, your blog can be a good pathway to opening up doors in that realm.

So, what should your page include? I’ll direct you to Rachel McDonald’s excellent write-up on this subject!

  1. I totally agree that a good “About me” page is a must. After reading a good post that I randomly come across, I always look out for this one page to know more about the blogger. Thanks for sharing that article. Will go through 🙂

  2. As usual you make so much sense. And I did do a decent About Me page for my new blog. But writing about yourself is a hard task – sort of like making out a resume. How I hated it when I needed to do it.
